Clissold Park skatepark

I just recieved an email from Hackney council saying that the new skatepark in Clissold Park will be open in time for the Easter holidays next year!

Please stay off of the site until it is open! Anybody remember drainage problems at Cantelowes and the chipping of Meanwhile bowls, they might not both necessarily be caused by the park's being skated early, but it doesn't help!

Thanks for all of your support so far this year, without you our highly valued customers this shop wouldn't be here (obviously!) have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Palace

All new Palace PRO and Team decks as well as wheels in store now in time for Christmas!

Good thing seeing as these boards were accidently dropped off at a pottery work unit down the road and were nearly thrown in the bin!

Sean Sheffey

Is now on Blind skateboards!

We've got the Sean Sheffey Bro model in store, as well as several other Blind boards in a variety of sizes. Would make the ideal gift this Christmas!

So soon after our newest clip, Hector showed me a clip featuring footage of himself, Jamal, Evan and Jack. Courtesy of Macgregor Marshfield.

Hope you like it!

Tom Remillard: SHUFFL

This is Tom Remillard's part from the SHUFFL video
(The SHUFFL video is a homie video based out of San Diego, but it features rippers from all over the U.S. Walker Ryan, John Lupfer, Austin Kanfoush, Dave Abair, Ryan Harris, Paul Sewell, Tom Remillard, and David Cole will all be having full parts)

Kev always told me how Tom is a really nice kid and as you can see it's extremely talented, not just in his local park Washington Street but even on different terrains.

We really need more skateboarders like that! Have it Tom Grom.

Well, it's been a while since the last post! A lot has been going on in the last few months. The shop has been going from strength to strength and we have a huge selection of product compared to when we first opened our doors!

The skate team is also doing well and we are proud to introduce a few new riders such as Jamal Bendriss, Tommy Richards, Jack West and Hector Barnett as well as long time riders Aaron Sweeney, Alex Lally, Marcus Adams and Kevin McKeon. All the team are out taking photos, going on tours and filming regularly

We're going to have regular updates on the blog and are looking to introduce a website in the months after Christmas.

We get in new product several times a week and will make sure to keep you posted on that front too!

Thanks for all of your support over the last few months and check out some of the videos below of some of the team riders!

Here's round two of A'dam!

Here's our boy Joshs' first edit from out umpteenth Amsterdam adverture, well Kev and Aaron's anyway (it was Marcus' first and he had fun!)

A little while ago, I think it was June most of the crew, forming of Marcus, Alex, Aaron, Kev, Jeremy, Josh and new temporary lurker Ed found themselves in Amsterdam via a £38 return coach journey.

Aaron won it, 1st place. That's what happens when you get busy 24/7. Fair dues to him. Of course on here it's going to be biased, but 12 months ago Aaron was working as a street sweeper drawing in the same wage in a month as he'd get in 30 minutes in a contest. That's what happens when you've got bills to pay and suddenly the life of a sponsored/pro skateboarder seems less glamorous. Nonetheless, Aaron wasn't fazed and skated as if it were a session with his mates at his local park.

Our filmer Josh, lost the tape with the majority of the comp footage in Burger King in Amsterdam's Amstel coach station. I found some footage online with most of the comp footy in for you to check out.

I have photos of Aaron with a trophy being pissed somewhere and a few of us climbing the "I AMsterdam" statue somewhere, as well as photos of us in Burger King in Leidseplein when England drew with the USA in the worldcup elsewhere. But I doubt they'll make it up on here.

Here's some more footage of some of the team at Stockwell

Here's some of the team skating the rarely skated ramp in Parkland walk in Islington.

Keep your eyes on Aaron and Alex in particular smashing it a new one!

Congratulations

To Stand Up rider Aaron Sweeney who took first place and €4000 at Volcom´s TXOTX mini-ramp comp that went down at Durango in the Basque Country this weekend.

Hopefully we'll have some footage soon which I'll put up on the blog as soon as it comes around.
